Lou Forshaw

Lou grew up surrounded by animals of all varieties, but her favourite was always horses and this has turned into a lifelong love!

Lou currently has 4 dogs at home; Mia and Rebel the terrier duo, Hank the gentle GSD and Brian the retired Kelpie, who is enjoying a slower pace of life after working on a cattle farm. Of course, all pups are kept in line by India, the children’s Pony!

After leaving college, Lou took up a job as an events coordinator in London for a few years, before deciding that she was too much of a country bumpkin and that city life was not for her. Lou then made the move from Sussex to Dorset after meeting her husband, Jim.

Before joining Dumbledore Vets, Lou worked for an international pet shipping company, where she was lucky enough to work alongside Zara. Here, Lou was always on hand to help owners keep their pets safe and sound, whilst ensuring that rules, regulations and veterinary requirements were in order. Lou then later took a career break to raise her young family.

When not welcoming you and your pets to Dumbledore Vets, Lou can be found running her own company supplying event facilities, chasing around after the furry family members or looking after her two children, Isla and Jack.
